Lorenzo A. Brent, MBA, is the Assistant Director for Ability Matters Central. He is a community activist, former Area Commissioner and fellow of the African American Leadership Academy. Lorenzo has 20 years experience in Business Operations with 10 of those years in the Human Services Sector in various roles, including program development and operations leadership. Previously, he served as Associate Vice President of Financial Empowerment Services and Director of Operations for the Columbus Urban League.

In his current role, Lorenzo has streamlined operations, developed training, and overseen human resources. His goal is to create a culture of continuous learning under the tutelage of Dewan Martin, COO. Lorenzo develops quarterly meetings to provide professional development and training opportunities, incorporating team-building exercises to help staff learn about the organization, their peers, and themselves.

Lorenzo Brent holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Public Relations and Marketing.
