Kevin Preston
General Counsel
Kevin has been employed as General Counsel for Ability Matters, Inc. since 2018. A graduate of Bucknell University (BA, Economics) and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (JD), he has practiced law for 43 years, both in a solo office and as a partner in Largent, Berry, Preston & Jamison, LPA, Berea, Ohio. For most of the last thirty years, Mr. Preston served as an Acting Judge or Magistrate in the Berea and Medina Municipal Courts and the Middleburg Heights and Beachwood Mayor’s Courts.
Mr. Preston also serves as counsel to Beyond Ability Matters, Inc., the non-profit charitable organization that supports the inclusion initiatives of Ability Matters and Dr. Butler. Kevin is married to Lenor and has three children and two grandchildren. Sadly, he remains a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns but gets more pleasure from the Guardians (nee Indians) and Cavaliers. Since moving to the Columbus area, the Buckeyes (football and women’s basketball) have taken hold of his fandom, and that of his extended family as well.
